Rick Goodale is a British ex-airbrush illustrator and photographer who lived and worked in numerous countries including, London, Amsterdam, Sweden, Sydney and Los Angeles from the mid 1970’s to the late 1980’s. Previous to this he had worked at the The Sunday Times Magazine, Penguin Books and the hot shot design group of the early 70’s – Ink Studios (see ‘Alan Aldridge’). On returning to London Rick Goodale formed Artbank which was the first dedicated UK Illustration and Art Library marketing protected rights images to commercial clients. Artbank also represented American and British illustrators for commercial commissions mainly from European advertising agencies. Rick Goodale later opened Rainbird Fine Art which was a contemporary art gallery based in Clerkenwell, London.
